As many of you will be aware, the Governing Body has announced a review of our culture and processes with a view to ensuring that we are as diverse and as inclusive as we can be. The Warden has asked me, the new Bursar-designate, to lead the review and to identify how we could:

1. Enhance the Winchester College curriculum with a more global outlook;
2. Foster an inclusive community amongst Winchester College students;
3. Ensure that the culture of Winchester College is respectful and open to all;
4. Create a workplace where talented colleagues from all backgrounds can thrive

Whilst the impetus has come from concerns around issues of BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic) equality and discrimination, we are extending the scope of the review to include wider issues of diversity and inclusion within our community and in what we teach. We have already heard from a range of current students and OWs, who have shared thoughts and ideas directly, but we also wanted to give recent alumni an opportunity to have their say. To this end, we produced a questionnaire which has been sent to OWs who left Winchester within the last 10 years.

If you have any questions please contact me. We are aiming to complete the review and share details of actions with the Winchester College community by the end of the calendar year.
