Our first Wykeham Week has come to an end. We have been overwhelmed by the support we have received from the whole Wykehamical Community.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our first digital campaign. Whether you sent in a photo of your bookmark, followed our progress online, shared our emails and posts as an ambassador or made a donation, thank you.

We had 398 donors raise £100,616 by 9pm on the 2 July, more donations have followed and once we have finished adding everything together, we will let you know the final numbers.

Our aim during Wykeham Week was to reach 200 donors, we have comprehensively exceeded that target. To mark the 200-donor milestone, we released a special virtual performance of Crossing The Bar by C.H.H Parry performed by Chapel Choir and The Sixteen.

To catch up on the other activity from Wykeham Week please visit the Wykeham Week website.

As well as fundraising challenges during Wykeham Week, the OW Tolling Club also have a physical challenge for you to take part in at home. Winchester has a long and glorious history in the sport of cross-country running, aka 'Tolling'. This also happens to be perhaps the only sport operating competitively in these times. Winchester Tolling is an informal club for all members of the WinColl community who enjoy the sport. It is open to all current and past alumni and staff and their families - whatever their age or standard. We are registered on the strava app and enter each week the LAR - Lockdown Alumni Race.

To celebrate Wykeham Week, we invite all of you not yet involved to join us by running a timed 5km sometime between 0001h Monday 29th June and 2359h Sunday July 5th. Beforehand, you will need to first register with Open Track and then enter this event. You then record your result, with or without a strava reference. But do add in the 'Note' box the house to which you are affiliated and also where you ran. The best performing house can then get what strava calls kudos. You can update your result any time up to the deadline. Here is a guide as to how to do all this. And as a bonus to keeping fit, all those who do enter are asked to kindly contribute at least £10 to Wykeham Week.
If you have any questions please contact David Jenkins.
