Musa restored! Built to celebrate the College’s Quincentenary by the eminent Victorian and Edwardian architect Basil Champneys, Musa lost its role as the College’s museum after the Second World War. Over the past year, works from the College’s collection of Renaissance and Classical casts have been restored and hung, and a new gallery created to show works from our watercolour and oil collections. To celebrate the Friends' sponsorship of the new gallery, Professor Paul Cartledge, former Emeritus A.G. Leventis Professor of Greek Culture at Cambridge University, will formally open the new Musa gallery and give us an opening lecture on a topic of his choosing.
