There is an interesting and varied programme of regional and overseas events that reflects Win Coll Soc's spread across the world and enables those members of Win Coll Soc, who live at some distance, to meet each other and hear about developments at Winchester. Two regional events are organised each calendar year in locations from as far afield as Edinburgh and Cheshire.

Online Div Hour - Saturday 11 June 2022 11.00am-12.00pm
We are delighted to be hosting an online Div Hour on Saturday 11 June at 11am (BST). We hope the timing will suit our friends on the far side of the world. The session will be run by the Second Master, Mr Nick Wilks (CoRo, 2004 - 22), and OWs, parents and Friends are welcome to join. This invitation will be circulated more widely at the beginning of May, so please register here to secure your place.

Nick Wilks was Master of Music between 2004 and 2015, and before coming to Winchester he directed a number of ensembles, including the prestigious Hampshire County Youth Orchestra and Finchley Children’s Music Group. He has worked with a number of distinguished soloists including Bryn Terfel, Kiri Te Kanawa, Alison Balsom, Ivana Gavrić, Yoo Jeon Sir and Roderick Williams. He has also worked closely with the conductors Sir Simon Rattle, Sir Colin Davis, Sir Mark Elder, André Previn and Neeme Jarvi. In this Div session, Nick will discuss what the responsibilities of a conductor are, how you learn a score, and how the role has changed over the years from autocrat to collaborator.

Our overseas programme of events includes Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand and the USA.
