WORLD WAR 1 REMEMBERED
8 NOVEMBER - 8 JANUARY
513 former pupils of Winchester College were killed in WW1. This display of paintings in the Treasury commemorates the centenary of the Armistice that finally brought an end to the conflict in November 1918.  It includes powerful work by war artists C.R.W. Nevinson and Henry Tonks. It examines the impact that war had on the school and explains how the largest private war memorial in Europe was created to commemorate its fallen.
