We are delighted to welcome Professor Emma Smith (Hertford College, Oxford) to the College during our celebration of the 400th anniversary of the publication of Shakespeare’s First Folio. One of the world’s leading Shakespeare scholars, Professor Smith has published two books on the Folio: The Making of Shakespeare’s First Folio and Shakespeare’s First Folio: Four Centuries of an Iconic Book. She has participated in numerous programmes on Radio 3 and Radio 4 and collaborated with theatre companies including the Royal Shakespeare Company; her book This is Shakespeare (2019) was a Sunday Times bestseller.
