Please note that for safeguarding purposes, all visitors to the College must be escorted. Visitors must join a guided tour or sign in at the Porters’ Lodge, wear a visitor lanyard and be escorted. Please see below for further guidance regarding access options for specific groups within the school community.
OLD WYKEHAMISTS
Access to the College for Old Wykehamists is encouraged, but all access must be escorted. If you want to visit your old school other than for an organised event, we ask you to observe the following:
Give Win Coll Soc as much notice as possible of your visit; a week or more is ideal and we can organise either:
Two free tickets on the twice-daily public guided tours
A private tour guide to show you and your party around at a time that suits you
Access and departure is via the Porters’ Lodge only
If you arrive at the Porters’ Lodge unannounced, we will still try to accommodate your visit, but should nobody be available as a guide and guided tours are full, you might be refused entry.
CURRENT AND FORMER PARENTS
Current parents are welcome to join our twice-daily College tours free of charge and are also welcome to visit the school when accompanied by their child. Former parents are welcome to join our College tours but must purchase standard ticket(s).
CURRENT AND FORMER MEMBERS OF STAFF
Members of staff are welcome to join College tours free of charge. Staff members are also permitted to bring visitors onsite outside of College tours, so long as they are always accompanied. Former staff members are welcome to join our College tours but must purchase standard ticket(s).
MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC
There are a range of public tours and open days throughout the year. Please visit winchestercollegeheritage.org for further details.
When you attend events taking place in the College, please assist our security team by following guidance
(such as sign-in procedures and keeping to designated areas) and by using designated entry and exit
points (usually Porters’ Lodge or Black Gate beside New Hall).
Thank you all for your support.
