CATALYST is offering the chance to take part in a live online Language Workshop and Turing Test, reflecting how the spirit of Div continues within a contemporary, digital framework.
The session will explore one of the oldest questions in human inquiry: how we acquire language and why it has long been seen as the hallmark of human exceptionalism.
Participants will examine whether this claim still holds now that AI systems can generate language with startling fluency, and will gain an accessible insight into how neural networks and modern language models actually produce text.
The workshop culminates in a live Turing Test in which attendees attempt to “uncloak” an AI determined to pass as human. This event offers a taste of the rich, questioning, and interdisciplinary experiences that define CATALYST.
