There are currently 10 pupils in Freddie’s who are only here thanks to the generosity of those who came before them. For centuries, philanthropy has ensured that talented pupils, regardless of their financial background, can benefit from a Winchester education. This year alone, the school is providing over £440,000 in bursary support for these Freddieites. With your help, we can ensure that future Freddieites have the same opportunities that you once did.
Richard Noble 1959-64
In 1971-72 he led an expedition from London to Cape Town and back via Bombay; and from 1974-80 he was with GKN Group. Since then he has specialised in a number of high risk ventures including from 1974-83 Thrust Cars Ltd with which, in 1983, he won the World Land Speed Record at 633.468mph in the Black Rock Desert in Nevada: he held on to the title until 1997
