Letters from the Front Lines 1939-45
Forty Hopperites sat for their House photograph in 1938. On leaving Winchester, they became soldiers, sailors and airmen. Not all of them returned. Their experiences and impressions were recorded in letters to their Housedon Malcolm "Bobber" Robertson. Between them they tell the story of the World War through the eyes of a close-knit community flung to the far ends of the Earth.
