Over Leave-out this week, the turf in the garth (the central area within War Cloister) has been relaid; the last of the nearly 800 inscribed names have received their three coats of paint; and the cap badges and coats of arms are starting to be re-gilded and repainted. The fresh gold leaf and paintwork are stunning as these pictures show.
