A very successful 60 Years On Reunion was held at the Cavalry and Guards Club in London on 14 March. Anyone who had left the College earlier than 1965 was invited, and 62 Old Wykehamists joined the occasion primarily as leavers between 1951 and 1964. The outlier was Sir Bryan Thwaites who left as a pupil in 1942. In his Welcome, the Director of Win Coll Soc drew attention to Sir Bryan’s 100th birthday the previous December to loud applause. An excellent lunch and lively conversations followed before the Sub Warden, Andrew Sykes, gave a comprehensive and well-received update on the successes and challenges within the College.
