On 21 July 2024, the OW Japan Guild and Japan Society hosted a Wykehamist networking event in Tokyo.
Over 30 OWs and current pupils found the time to meet, share some food and share their Win Coll experiences. Old stories were told, new friends were made, and the Win Coll community in Japan was re-affirmed with multiple generations of Wykehamists attending. The prospective event earlier in the day also provided the opportunity for potential new members of this community to come together and learn first-hand about what it means to be a Wykehamist, from OWs and current boys alike. All in-all, the summer event firmly re-established a Winchester College community in Japan, allowing us to feel part of the College, even 6000 miles away.
