The Friends of Winchester College was formed in 1989 with the objective of forming closer bonds between the School, the local community, parents, staff, Wykehamists and past visitors through the arrangement of special events, and by generally encouraging local residents to take part in school activities.

Benefits of Membership

  • Invitations to lectures and occasional social events arranged by The Friends.

  • Attendance at other school events: plays, concerts, films, Chapel Services - details of which are given in the Friends' termly newsletter.

  • Free guided tours of the school, with reduced rates for their guests.

  • Above all, perhaps, a feeling of ‘belonging' to an ancient, beautiful and much-admired institution.

Please see the Friends events page for more information. Registration will open shortly.

Four lectures are held in the two winter terms at Win Coll in Short Half and Common Time.  Lecturers range from famous or infamous Old Wykehamists, to renowned speakers on a wide variety of subjects.  Lectures are usually held in New Hall at Winchester College, and are preceded by a glass of wine.
Please see the Friends events page for more information. Registration will open shortly.

Concert in Music School
This annual concert, as a thank-you for Friends support, has become a firm favourite with music lovers who appreciate the talent and skill of the school's young performers.

Tours are held in Common Time of specific areas within the campus, such as the Archives, Treasury and Wiccamica room.
